Reaching New Milestones in Skilled Nursing, Life Plan Communities, and Beyond
TMC, a leading provider of contract therapy services, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, marking three decades of innovation and dedication to serving the healthcare needs of skilled nursing facilities, life plan communities, assisted living communities, independent living communities, outpatient clinics, hospitals, home health care, and physician practices across the United States. Founded in 1995 by Mark and Dreama Waldrop, TMC has grown organically to serve over 300 facilities across 25 states, offering unparalleled expertise in long-term care therapy services.
From its humble beginnings, TMC has stayed true to its core values and mission: providing service excellence to those in need, with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
“I started TMC because I wanted to create a culture where we could recognize each other, have fun, try innovative things, and truly make a difference, while also being financially viable, said Dreama Waldrop, founder of TMC. “I didn’t think that it needed to be just one way – that we had to get to the bottom line. I truly believe that you can have both.”
Over the last 30 years, TMC has remained privately owned and has never been acquired or purchased by another company. The growth has been entirely organic, with a deep-rooted commitment to building lasting relationships with both clients and employees.
One of TMC’s most enduring relationships is with Provider Professional Services, TMC’s longest-standing client and a partner since the company’s founding in 1995. Reflecting on the 30-year partnership, Tanya Procell, President of Clinical Services at Provider Professional Services, shares:
“We are so grateful for the strong and lasting partnership we have built over the years. TMC’s dedication, expertise, and commitment to quality therapy services are invaluable to the outcomes of our residents. Together we have achieved so much due to your support, collaboration, and shared values.”
As the company’s co-founder, Dreama brings more than 30 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist, while Mark Waldrop, co-founder, has a distinguished background as a nursing home administrator and COO. Together, they bring over 70 years of experience in the long-term care industry and continue to lead the company with a unique vision that focuses on the importance of both exceptional service and a compassionate, responsible work culture.
The cornerstone of TMC’s success lies in its foundational commitment to service excellence, which drives the loyalty of its customers and cultivates a supportive, fulfilling work environment for its employees. TMC’s dedication to personal responsibility and care for each other sets the company apart and ensures that every member of the team plays a vital role in delivering the highest standard of care.
As TMC looks ahead to the future, the company continues to prioritize the health, well-being, and satisfaction of its clients and teams alike. With a focus on innovation, individualized care, and a culture built on respect and collaboration, TMC is poised to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve for years to come.
